Open Studios
Artists Network Bedfordshire is a vibrant artist-led organisation
promoting original works of art and craft created by artists based
in Bedfordshire, hosting Open Studios during weekends in September
Borderland Visual Arts
32 exhibitors in 18 studios
in and around Oswestry.
June 14/15th and 21/22nd and open from 10.30am until 4.30pm although many of the studios can also be viewed at other times as well.
Birmingham
Artists
Their annual Open Studios event across a weekend. They aim to showcase
the work of regional artists celebrating the diverse range of skills,
techniques and ways of working that epitomises the contemporary
art sector, thereby demonstrating a dynamic contribution across
the arts in the region.
Buckingham
Open Studios
Bucks Open Studios is run annually by the Visual Images Group -
an alliance of more than 400 artists and craftspeople who live and
work in Buckinghamshire.
Cambridge
Open Studios
The event is run several weekends in July each year when artists'
studios are open to visitors.
Cheltenham
Artists Open Houses
An organisation which facilitates local artists to open their houses/studios
to the general public for the purposes of exhibiting their work
as part of a Festival of the Visual Arts in May.
Colchester
and Tendring Open Studios
The event began in 1998, and enables a ‘behind the scenes' glimpse
at the reality of the artistic life. Prior to the event studios
get spruced up and artists work until the small hours in order to
have new works ready.
Derbyshire
Open Arts
A visual arts and crafts event across the county. This free event
invites you to visit artists and craftspeople in their showspaces
and workplaces over two weekends at the end of May and beginning
of June.

Visit the Studios of Artists & Designers in the Forest of Dean over
2 weekends in July.
Herefordshire
Art Week, September
A new perspective on Herefordshire and a chance to meet the myriad
creative people who make it such a wonderful place to live or visit.
Many show their work together in group exhibitions and there are
also opportunities to ‘have a go’ in a variety of media. Includes
the h.Art Open Exhibition of new work by 14 specially selected Herefordshire
artists.
Hertfordshire
Open Studios
The event began in 1991 and has been held by Hertfordshire Visual
Art Forum every year since then, organised by Open Studios Coordinators
with the help of a team of volunteers. Each year around 200 artists
take part and around 6000-8000 members of the public visit the studios.
Newbury
Open Studios
An action packed scheme providing an opportunity to talk to artists
in their studios, take part in workshops and visit exhibitions in
cafés, shops, schools and colleges.
Norfolk
Open Studios
During May, artists across Norfolk throw open the doors to their
studios and let the world in to see them at work.

Studios Northamptonshire
The largest visual arts event in and around the county celebrates
its 10th Anniversary in 2006. For two weeks during September artists
invite visitors to witness art in the making, to explore the cognitive
workings of an artist’s mind and studio.
Oxfordshire Artweeks
Claiming to be the largest open studio event in the UK, Oxfordshire's
artists and artisans open up their homes and studios to the public.
Artweeks takes place between May and June, moving from Oxford City
to South then North Oxfordshire over the three week period.

Gloucestershire
The site festival, in its 10th year in 2006, presents the work of
over 250 local, national and international artists in over 88 sites
in the Stroud valleys during the whole of June.
Suffolk
Open Studios
It all started in 1991 in East Suffolk when a group of 11 artists
with a diversity of creative talents, decided to open their doors
and invite people to see them at work in their own studios. This
year sees even more studios open across Suffolk, together with more
established artists.
Warwickshire
Artsweek, July
the biggest celebration of the visual arts and crafts across the
county, with over 200 venues displaying arts and crafts in galleries,
open studios, colleges, shops, cafes and restaurants, churches and
village halls, gardens, parks… and many other public places.
Wirksworth
Art & Architecture Trail
The Wirksworth Festival includes a range of visual and performing
arts, but is best known for the weekend Art Trails when local residents
and businesses open their houses, shops, offices, churches and gardens
for artists to display their work. 250 artists and 100 venues makes
a powerful body of exciting and rewarding art.
