West London Artists at Home - Open studios in Chiswick, Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush
Hogarth had a house in Chiswick, Pissarro lived for a while in Stamford Brook, Van Gogh preached at Turnham Green, Henry Moore attended the Brook Green School of Art, William Morris lived in Hammersmith. This pocket of London has always been a favourite with artists, even before Bedford Park was conceived in response to the Aesthetic Movement of the 1870s. Today, there are many artists who carry on the tradition of making art, and Artists at Home is a celebration of the wealth and diversity of creativity in this area.
